The British Pipe Band Championships come to Pitlochry
A feast of piping, bands, bandsmen and women everywhere, the British Pipe Band Championships were last held at Pitlochry in 2003, three years ago. With over one hundred-pipe bands competing, some 3,000 pipes and drums it is a truly awesome event!
There is probably no better location for the championships than Pitlochry with its Victorian buildings, the town’s award winning floral displays and the championship venue, which is just a short walk from the town centre at the recreation ground. The recreation ground has terraced seating on one side over looking the ground, which give excellent views of the whole field and plenty of parking near by for spectators and bandsmen alike.
We are currently taking individual travel and group bookings for the event.
