Queens View Pitlochry Hotel Accommodation

about the loch tummel inn

Tom and Amanda Harrison would like to extend a warm welcome to visitors old and new.

‘by Tummel, Loch Rannoch and Lochaber I will go’

Wonderful song and poetry have been written over the years, waxing lyrically about the joys of travelling in Highland Perthshire especially the trip form Pitlochry along the glorious banks of Loch Tummel past the Queens View to Kinloch Rannoch and Loch Rannoch.

And to exquisitely complement this – why not take a nostalgic trip back in time and visit Loch Tummel Inn, spectacularly situated amidst views to die for on an elevated position on the banks of Loch Tummel just 3 miles from the famous Queens View – which has probably been the theme and scene for more picture postcards than any other view in Scotland – and the view from the Inn is every bit as good.

If what you really long for is cosy, very traditional ensuite award winning accommodation, log fires, perhaps a real ale or two - or some Scotch ‘water of life’ (whisky) – in plentiful supply here, glorious lounges and terraces, stunning views and a plate of something that makes the very best of the produce you may have been admiring earlier at the farmers' market – then we might just be for you.

Great country dining inns with accommodation are now on the increase and there is a real trend for talented chefs to leave their ‘urban palaces’ in favour of the country inn. We have such a chef here.

For them, it means a chance to be nearer the produce with which they cook, the possibility of turning out ‘non-luxury’ dishes and a less pressurised life. For you - food that ranges from the simple, to something a little more sophisticated - served in an environment where you can dress as we like, eat as little or as much as you choose, and warm your heart and your body by the fire.
